day 4!!!

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

well today was pretty cool, like i got to give the dean a present, i was shaking! he is so intimidating. [did i spell that right?] um. I hated we had such a short time at the mall. And i do believe that it is against the 29th ammendent [in my world] that its illegal to have kids out in hot weather and professional attire (:
i am missing home like you wouldn’t believe, but i love my friends that i made here!

i hate the elevator here.

i went to the “Bias in Media” session, and it was very hard to follow, but i learned a lot at Capitol Hill. I’m really forward to tomorrow, breakfast at 7! well i made a personal flag, because our group never made one. so if we did make one, mine would look like this:

our-flag1

mwahahaha! okay. i think thats it for the night. i would ramble about Capitol Hill and the funny things that happened today, but i don’t want to be boring.

so untill then (:
break dance, not hearts

Day 3 :)

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

okay, like i definitely was late waking up, so i missed breakfast, but good thing jessica and went to the store the night before. i was definitely rationing my pringles and powerade throughout the whole day. The National Press Club was very interesting, but it was king of hard to stay up and focused. One of the speakers got my attention when he mentioned Michael Jackson. Well then we went to the museums. Which i thought would be SUPER fun, but it wasn’t. I was soo tired. Well like the first museum had like no interest at all. Then the second museum the one with Natural or National History was very exciting. I got to the third one, and my mom was there and I had lunch with her, and my brother & sister. Well I caught back up with Jessica, Erin, and Rapisura [Kristine Dennise], and we were so bored and tired. So I was like let’s go to the IMAX. So we paid 8.75 to go see “Fighter Pilot” and like the first 10 minutes of the movie we were like dead sleep. Yes we paid 8.75 to nap, because we all felt we were facing the 8th ammendment by not getting ANY sleep, but it was well worth. Like This whole day was great, like best day by far. I loved it (:

Day 2 :]

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

today was sort of sucky. i was definitely sick, but the staff is so caring and helpful. I am vey impressed. The newseum was UH-MAZE-ING! like i had so much fun. I learned a lot. I was very exhausted though. I wasn’t crazy about the lunch we got, but the cookie was very good. I was upset that there was no water, except melting ice. uhh. DINNER WAS SO GOOD. Jessica and I had a lot of fun today especially with our podcast. I was kind of bummed that group 4 didn’t make our flag, but it will happen.

Day 1 (:

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

well let’s see.. my day started off okay. Like I saw my old friend, who used to be my best friend back when we were like 4, and he moved when we were 7. I saw him for the first time in like 10 years and we spent hours at his house. I thought i was ready for the whole “college life” but I was gonna cry when my mom had to leave me. Her and my brother and sister drove up here from GA and we visited a lot of family and friends, but I have no idea where in DC they are now. Well when i got to the conference, it was okay. I was like nervous. My roommate happened to be one of the two girls I met on facebook so I am very lucky. Its great. uh. I didn’t like the dinner, like there was no water. Then our reading list was like quite long and lights are out 11, i wish it was like 12, so we have more things to do, but oh well. I have no idea how waking up at 5:30 is going to be, but we’ll see about that.

untill then (:
hasta la vista
